As a co-founder of Melplex Ri-Ch Real Estate, I entered the real estate industry in 2013, starting from an entry-level sales role and developing my expertise through direct, hands-on experience in the market.
Within the industry, sales is often perceived as the most prominent function, while property management remains underestimated and overlooked. Through years of experience, I came to realise that the true long-term performance of an asset is not defined by a single transaction, but by the quality, consistency, and discipline of its ongoing management.
This perspective became even more evident during the COVID period. I made a deliberate transition into property management, starting from an assistant role to rebuild my expertise from the ground up.
I believe that true professionalism lies not in visibility, but in mastery — in the ability to elevate what appears ordinary into something exceptional. It is this philosophy that led to the establishment of Melplex Ri-Ch Real Estate, delivering consistent, long-term, and deeply value-driven outcomes for our clients.
Charmy has a strong foundation in hospitality management, with extensive experience both in Australia and internationally. Since 2016, she has been directly involved in managing the core property portfolio that now forms part of the company, with a detailed understanding of each property and its operations.
With years of hands-on experience and a strong sense of responsibility, she advanced to become the Head of Rental Department in her previous company, where she led team operations, established management frameworks, and oversaw day-to-day execution.
As her industry insight deepened, she recognised that achieving higher service standards required greater control over the entire portfolio. This led her to co-found Melplex Ri-Ch Real Estate, where she now plays a central management role, working closely with the leadership team to oversee and continuously refine the company's property management operations.
With a background in hospitality management and a Master of Property from The University of Melbourne, she brings a strong foundation in both service excellence and professional knowledge to her role.
She is known for her attentive, patient, and empathetic communication style, allowing her to build strong and trusting relationships between landlords and tenants. Many landlords have commented that once their property is entrusted to her, they no longer need to worry.
Her ability to balance both sides effectively, while maintaining calm and constructive communication, results in more stable tenancies and higher-quality outcomes. As a result, she consistently earns a high level of trust and satisfaction from both landlords and tenants.
Prior to joining Melplex Ri-Ch Real Estate, she founded and operated her own short-term rental management business, specialising in platforms such as Airbnb, where she successfully managed multiple investment properties. Through her strong market awareness and refined operational approach, she consistently delivered returns above market average.
With changes in regulatory conditions, she demonstrated sharp industry insight by recognising the shift in market direction and made a timely transition to join our team.
Leveraging her extensive customer service background and hands-on short-term rental experience, she quickly adapted to the long-term property management framework and became independently capable in a short period of time. She has since introduced innovative strategies for landlords, helping to further enhance rental performance and maximise investment returns.
Leona is responsible for overseeing all trust account operations, bringing over a decade of experience in real estate trust accounting with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and financial integrity.
Her primary responsibility is to ensure that all rental income is processed efficiently and disbursed to landlords in a timely manner. She adheres to a clear standard of transferring funds to landlords within two business days of receipt, ensuring both consistency and transparency in financial management.
In addition to rent processing, Leona manages a wide range of financial transactions, including international transfers, owners corporation fees, water charges, and other property-related expenses. With her proven track record and meticulous work ethic, Leona has earned the trust and confidence of many landlords, making her an essential pillar of the team.
